Slightly rustic colour on the rim, towards tawny, but yet, deep ruby-red core. Quite sweet nose here, displaying ripe fruit. Almost cooked fruit, with plum, red berries. Some dried spiciness like pepper and clove. Medium weight on the palate. With quite a lot of extract. There is a very grippy tannin. Still a bit youthful, giving a slightly dry sensation on the palate. On top of that there is a lot of sweet fruit. With spicy jammed fruit. Gentle hint of oak as well, some roasted notes. Medium length on the finish. Still the dominance of tannin. Certainly a wine that you need to get some more age to round off the edges.
