Dense colour here, dark ruby-red, really intense colour, colouring the glass. Pure nose. Quite opulent style here, with some new oak and really ripe, ripe red and dark fruit, such as, plum, jammed red berries and dried spices. The palate has a lot of extract, I would say medium weight, but quite high extraction. There is both tannin and some wood shining through here. It still appears a bit youthful on the palate. So a lot of tannin. Some herbal spiciness is shining through on the palate. Some notes of mint and aromatic herbs. Fruitiness is quite ripe fruit here. You feel the sunshine in this one, with dark plum, some jammed berries. With a medium towards long finish. In terms of drinkability, certainly a wine I would like to put back for one to two years to round off, gaining some more roundness in terms of texture, but it should develop. It does have the structure to go on for a few years.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
