Very inky and intense colour, purple-black core covering the glass. Pure nose. Emphasis on fruit really on dark berry fruit; such as cassis, dark cherry, some aromatic herbs, some notes of sage and anise seed. Slight hint of oak. Quite full-bodied here. Still with a dense and youthful texture. The tannins are quite marketed. Should definitely need some time to soften. However, the fruit is really attractive, with those dark berry notes, underlined by a fresh acidity, some of those herbal leafy, like tobacco, sage, mint. Balanced oak with a quite long finish. An ambitious wine I would like to put back in the cellar for two to three years to open up a little bit more.
